This is a Japanese Imari Style Porcelain Bowl with lobed corners.  It measures 8" square X 1-3/4" tall and is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or signs of use.  It is decorated with the Japanese peony and bird in colors of red, green and pink with gold details and trim.  

The peony symbolizes bravery and honor.  Today it is used in decorations at weddings to promote good fortune for the bride and groom.  The bird is symbolic of longevity, luck and love.  This bowl would be a lovely wedding present.  Any questions, please email.  Thanks!
