an antique BOYCO Canteen . Stenciled " Government ".  In researching this particular design of canteen I have found similar examples that put the age of manufacture from between 1870 and 1900. There are similar examples that were claimed to be used by the BIA police force and also National Parks. I have listed this in these Historical Memorabilia categories as a result. I am not an expert in vintage militaria or canteens and any informative feedback from members out there is most welcome.

I'm offering in "as found" condition. vintage condition. see photos.  stains, some oxidization but over all quite nice condition for its age.
