Faytel Lazarewich Mullyar (Файтель Лазаревич Мулляр) (1911, Odessa - 2011, Moskau) was born in Odessa in 1911. He studied at the Odessa Art-Industrial School, then at the Odessa Art Institute. Since the 1930s - worked in the architectural and art workshop of the Moscow City Council No. 12. He participated in the design and painting of the first stage of the Moscow metro, in the design of the Museum for the Protection of Motherhood and Infancy, the Central Anti-Religious Museum, and the Museum of Labor Dispensary. He made drawings for the magazines "Change", "Building of Moscow", "Thirty Days", for the newspapers "Soviet Art", "Literary Newspaper". In 1940 joined the Moscow Union of Artists and was directed to the construction of the Palace of Soviets to participate in work on murals. In 1941-1947 - worked for defense. He developed military posters, exhibition projects on military-sanitary topics, collaborated with newspapers. From 1943 to 1946 worked in Stalingrad on works on the defense and restoration of the city. Several works of Mullyar made in Stalingrad, were presented by the city leadership to General De Gaulle, Ms. Churchill, D. Ibarruri, I. B. Tito. He was sent to Yalta to create works on the theme: "Yalta Conference." For many years, the artist worked with the publishing houses "Fiction", "Soviet Writer", "Detgiz" and others. He illustrated the works of I. Babel, A. Solzhenitsyn, F. Dostoevsky, L. Tolstoy, A. Tolstoy I. Bunin, A. Chekhov , K. Paustovsky, A. Radishchev, L. Leonov, V. Tendryakov, V. Grossman. Participated in Russian, All-Union and foreign exhibitions: in 1957 - an exhibition at the Palace of Congresses in Italy, where the artist received the first prize; in 1958 - an exhibition in Stalingrad "On the roads of war"; in 1959 - a book exhibition in Leipzig, where the artist's works were marked with a diploma; in 1961 - the exhibition "15 years from the day of victory"; in 1962 - the exhibition "30 years of MOSH"; in 1969 - exhibition in Cannes, France, etc.

The last years of his life he developed biblical themes.

The works of Mullyar are in the State Literary Museum, State Historical Museum, Theater Museum. Bakhrushin, Museum of the Sun. Meyerhold, Pushkin House (St. Petersburg), L.
