Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: The price is for one antique Bausch & Lomb jug handle  microscope. It is brass and cast iron. It is antique and dates to 1907. I am not an expert on antique microscopes so ask questions before bidding if unsure. No box, microscope only. It looks to me to be untouched and original condition. It seems to work fine. Has 2 lenses on bottom that you can switch from one to another that look original to me. The top lens pulls off and appears original to me. The mirror is original and has a concave mirror on one side and flat mirror on the other. It has a jug handle. The serial number dates it to 1907. Serial numbers are 65929.  It seems to adjust fine up down angle to angle. No cracks in lenses. No fogging on lenses. Looking through microscope it works fine. Marked Bausch & Lomb Optical, Rochester, NY. There is paint loss. One pic shows paint loss on front where an old price sticker was(also shows brass beneath original paint).  Some people remove the black paint that is on the brass to show off more of the brass. We are leaving this untouched.. Bottom and handle are cast iron. It comes with an old bent end  clear slide. Selling as pictured. No box. Measures about 14 1/2" tall when extended.(Pictured).
