For your consideration is this:  Stunning "Genuine Split-Stag handle & Etched blade scene" Solingen Germany Hunting Knife & Sheath Set, from my personal vintage knife collection, with No Reserve. 

  

The "Mirror-like Solingen steel" fixed blade looks to still have the Original Factory Blade Edge.  This vividly Etched outdoors scene displays a "Magnificent Elk or Buck running from a Hunter holding a rifle."  There are detailed and colorful Trees & Foliage, Sky & Mountain images that are well-preserved on this vintage fixed-blade beauty.

                 

 Included is the Germany Leather Belt-Sheath w/ viewing pocket, and this carefully stored Split-Stag knife combo is in "Outstanding Vintage Condition" especially for the age. 

       

            From research, the blade stamping and knife style...the EIG CUTLERY fixed-blade knife was likely produced in the 1950s - 1960s era.

     

                                            

The knives of Solingen Germany are known world-wide for their quality steel, fine craftsmanship, and attention given to details, and this knife is No exception! 

    

Remember “Back in the day” these older knives were mostly purchased to be used…Not collected, making a vintage knife in  "Exceptional Condition" difficult to find.

The overall size measures :     8  1/2" long

The fixed blade measures :     4  5/8"  long

HANDLE:

The gorgeous "Split-stag" handle is secured with 4 excellent Brass Pins and the handle features highlights of rich Honey-Amber / Sambar Stag color tones.  

There are natural dark grooves and gnarly Antler-bone raised patterns. The beautiful hand-crafted handle is "Genuine Stag / Bone" and this early German-made knife has No movement.

While displaying vivid and varying color tones, this vintage beauty has a few normal faint signs of nice light natural aging...that occurs with real stag or bone handles. 

             There are secure multi-color composite spacers that complement the color tones and are in "Exceptionally Good Condition" for their age.

The stag / antler handle feels heavy for the size and has a shiny Aluminum oval pommel that is well-secured with a 3/8" Brass tang nut.  

A solid Brass half-guard measures 1  1/8" long and assists with a firm grip. 

The carefully stored & lightly handled Genuine Stag handle and bright Brass & Aluminum fittings are in "Outstanding Shape" for being decades old.

This vintage Solingen Steel "Etched blade" Stag handle hunting knife is a true gem for collectors and knife enthusiasts alike.  Crafted in Solingen Germany, this knife embodies the quality and skilled craftsmanship that the region is known for. 

BLADE: 

This stunning vintage Solingen Germany hunting knife is in Exceptionally Good Condition and looks to have the "Original Factory Blade Edge"  

The (slightly raised image) or embossed outdoor scene is "vividly etched" on the reflective Solingen steel blade and has blue, white, brown, gold and green colors.  

  The clip-point blade is full with a pointed tip and the steel is "Mirror-like" with a thick blade spine, and the blade measures 4  5/8" long

This Germany hunting knife has "detailed and colorful blade etchings" in an outdoor setting. The bright steel blade has a vivid "Etched" outdoors scene of a "Magnificent Elk or Buck running from a Hunter holding a rifle."  There are detailed and colorful Trees & Foliage, Sky & Mountain images.

    There is also a long false top blade edge that measures 2" long and could be sharpened if desired, and I'll leave any decision to sharpen the blade up to the new owner. 

The bright EIG  CUTLERY hunting/skinning blade has some surface rubs/hard-to-see thin faint marks, that are possibly from taking the knife in and out of the sheath, but are consistent with the age. 

          The colorful "Etched blade wilderness scene" is Very Detailed and in Outstanding & Collectible condition especially for being decades old.

    This Solingen Germany vintage knife set has been carefully stored and is just waiting for the next person to appreciate and make it their own.

SHEATH:

 The Original Germany-made leather sheath (or case) has great intact stitching,  excellent belt slot, and stiff throat area.  This vintage German D.G.M. leather sheath is well constructed and features a curved Metal tip protector.

There is an excellent Working fastening strap with a shiny metal snap.  The companion sheath has a few signs of faint age shelf wear, faint surface scuffs, or light handling while admiring.

Overall, this early factory stamped D.G.M Germany leather sheath is in Exceptionally Good Condition for its age. The length of this companion leather sheath is 9" inches long, and it "Fits the knife like a glove."  

                        

The front of the sheath has the unique & Original clear plastic Viewing insert or window. So, you can view the beautiful Etched Blade while the knife is inserted.
