Cupressus arizonica (Arizona cypress) is a medium-sized a coniferous evergreen tree with a conic to ovoid-conic crown. It grows to heights of 10-25 m, and its trunk diameter reaches 0.5 m. The foliage grows in dense sprays, varying from dull gray-green to bright glaucous blue-green in color. The leaves are scale-like, 2-5 mm long, and produced on rounded (not flattened) shoots. Trees are very drought tolerant and are planted on slopes in its native range in order to prevent soil erosion. USDA hardiness 6 - 9
Growing and sowing instruction:
Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours.
Stratification: The seeds have only shallow natural dormancy and require only a short period of cold stratification ( 4 weeks)  to enable germination to occur. The seeds mixed with a little clean, damp sand or damp vermiculite and placed in a clear plastic bag  at temperatures between 3-5 Celsius (37-41 Fahrenheit) which is about the temperatures found in your fridge.
Germination: sow seed 1/16" (2 mm) deep.
Keep them at room temperature – around 20 celsius. Once the seedlings appear above the compost give them plenty of light.
All seeds that I sell are collected personally by me from the region in which I live - Southeastern Bulgaria.
