What is an ignition coil?
The high-pressure automobile pack is the ignition coil. The simple explanation of the ignition coil is to let the spark plug "generate a spark" to ignite the mixed gas of the cylinder.

It is a transformer that is responsible for transforming the low-voltage current of the vehicle into high-voltage electricity. Normally, each cylinder is equipped with a set of ignition coils, usually replaced in 100000 km or even longer.

Working Principle
The reason that the ignition coil can convert the low-voltage electricity in the car to high-voltage electricity is that it has the same form as the ordinary transformer and the turns ratio of the primary coil and the secondary coil is large.

However, the ignition coil works differently from ordinary transformers. Ordinary transformers work continuously, while ignition coils work intermittently.

It repeatedly stores and releases energy at different frequencies according to different speeds of the engine.

When the primary coil is powered on a strong magnetic field is generated around the current as the current increases, and the iron core stores the magnetic field energy; when the switching device disconnects the primary coil circuit, the magnetic field of the primary coil rapidly decays, and the secondary coil High voltages can be induced. The faster the magnetic field of the primary coil disappears, the larger the current at the moment of current disconnection. The larger the turn ratio of the two coils, the higher the voltage induced by the secondary coil.


Functions:
The main function of the ignition coil is to "spark" the spark plug and ignition the mixed gas in the Cylinder. It's a transformer responsible for converting the low-voltage current of the vehicle into high-voltage electricity.
