Great condition. Solid state. Just serviced. Works and sounds great. The fuzz is killer all the way up. The tuning fork function is pretty cool as a synth sound maker. Plenty of cool with this amp. Please email questions.

The Acoustic Control Corp. was founded in Hollywood, California in the early/mid 1960's by Steve Marks on Sunset Blvd. The Acoustic Control Corporation quickly gained notoriety for manufacturing some of the most powerful and versatile amplifiers on the market. Users included names like The Doors, the Velvet Underground, Albert King and Bob Weir to name just a few. The model seen here, the 260, was the first amplifier Acoustic manufactured, and was used by Albert King, Chuck Berry and Ray Manzarek of the Doors for his Rhodes Bass/Vox Continental rig. Features of this versatile solid-state amplifier include dual channel operation, each channel with (2) instrument inputs. The first channel features controls for Volume, Treble and Bass, a 5-way Variamp selector which thins out or thickens signal as well as control over the amount of the effect being applied, an amazing Fuzz effect with controls for Attack and Gain, Reverb level control, as well as Speed and Intensity controls for the Tremolo function. The second channel has the same Volume, Treble, Bass and Variamp control.
