When we approached the Blue Angels with our request to produce this book, we realized we were seeking permission rarely granted by this prestigious team. The team, int response, enthusiastically invited us to spend an entire air show season with them in order to gain insight into the Blue Angel experience.

To take on this assignment, we sent the best of the best: award winning author, photographer, and former fighter pilot Brian Shul. In the course of that challenging year, he was given the unique opportunity to fly with the Blue Angels in all of their formations.
