Don't know what type of fur it is but it is VERY soft and very clean. no shedding or brittle breakage

hat sits flush against the scalp creating a ball shape

One side has a stitched opening on the wrap around chin flap so the strap can go through and create a smooth fold over closure

Construction design creates a perfectly round bubble
