This is a very rare fossil multiblock containing bivalves and shells collected over 20 years ago from Trent Reamy, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England. This site is no longer accessible ! This recently prepared specimen contains 5 Cardinia sp. amd various other shells (see pictures). One of the Cardinia has been prepared to be view from both sides ! Jurassic era, approx 200 million years old, excellent preservation, detail and colour. A collectors item !
Size of entire specimen measures approx 21.7cm x 15.8cm x 2.8cm, with the largest bivalve measuring approx 6.5cm x 4.2cm and the smallest measuring approx 1.7cm x 1.2cm.
