The representation of nature, daily life and the world of work were the artist's favorite subjects, who was very active and well-known in the Modena area due to his activity as a poster designer for the Communist Party of Modena and the numerous exhibitions he held. A tireless painter, Pancaldi worked with unchanged passion until recent years.

Medium and painting surface: watercolor on panel with "Ice technique" that was invented by Pancaldi to obtain the ice effect on some part of the painting surface, this technique consists of literally freezing the fresh wet painting and subsequently work on it again. He used this technique starting from the '70's.
