This is a rebuilt 401 AMC short block.
This is the short block you will receive (no cam).
This block has been:
-Vatted
-Magnafluxed for cracks
-Steelabrated
-Pressure tested for hidden flaws
-Bored and honed to fit forged Wiseco pistons
-Deck surface milled
-Main lines honed
-Cam bearings installed
-Block painted AMC blue
-New brass freeze plugs installed
-Forged steel crank, ground .020" x .020" 1972 up
Parts include:
-PTS 540 A45 Wiseco Forged Pistons
-Clevite main and rod bearings
-Duro Bond cam bearings
-Brand new upgraded rods with cap screw for added strength
-80101 4 bolt harmonic balancer for 1972 up applications
-Fel Pro rear main seal
-Pioneer brass freeze plugs
-Rotating assemble balanced
-Oil modifications have been made. Check out the pictures of the intake valley, showing oil line from the front of the engine to the rear.
-Included is a balanced flywheel or flexplate for TH400 or flexplate for 904 or 727 AT application.

With 58cc head, will make this about a 9 1/2 to 1 engine.
With a 50cc head, will make this about 10.3 to 1 engine.
