The bar is 33.7mm thick which is the perfect thickness, not too thin to cause skin tear and in keeping with CrossFit and Gym equipment dimensions.

The bar is galvanised to prevent rusting, not powder coated so naturally the bar will feel grippy unlike the majority of pull up bars which are quite frankly dangerous when outdoors and powder coated.

Overview

The Pull Up Bar:

Galvanised steel 1.05m bar with anti rust for all weather.

We recommend using treated gate posts, at least 4" x 4" (100mm x 100mm). We personally use 6" x 6" (150mm x 150mm) for extra strength and rigidity. Height of the posts is your choice but at least 1/4 of the post should be buried underground (more if possible) and you want to make sure that you can fully dead hang on the bar without touching the floor. We typically use 3 metre posts and bury 70cm underground. We also use approx. 150kg postcrete for

We recommend using pyramid top treated gate posts. Height of the posts is your choice, you can go for 6ft (1.8m) or 7ft (2.1m) with 2ft (0.6m) buried underground. 40kg of postcrete for each post, will be plenty.

The included wall plates have 4 fixing holes each which attach to the posts using included screws which secure the bar in place and a grub screw which is used to tighten the bar with an allen key to stop the bar from rotating.
