The wood is very heavy- 12.6 kilo
 I have been informed that the type of wood is Iroko but not certain

It measures1325mm Long x 95mm high at highest point.

155mm depth from front to back (20mm been fitted into the wall leaving 135mm clean. 
The large inset length is 1272 x small inset is 102mm x 12mm deep

There are 7 feature scallops and it is just as it has been removed from my fireplace by the builder.
 I have not attempted to clean up this item
