  • Beschreibung: Vorliegend eine detaillierte Darstellung einer ländlichen Szene, vermutlich aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Sie zeigt mehrere Gebäude im Holzbaustil, umgeben von Vegetation und eingefasst von einem Holzzaun. Im Vordergrund ist eine Brücke über einen Wasserlauf zu erkennen, auf welcher zwei Figuren stehen. Die Szenerie unter einer beeindruckenden Rauchwolke verweist auf industrielle Aktivität im Hintergrund, möglicherweise eine Fabrik oder Schmiede.

  • Description: This is a detailed depiction of a rural scene, probably from the 19th century. It shows several wooden buildings surrounded by vegetation and enclosed by a wooden fence. In the foreground, a bridge over a stream can be seen, on which two figures are standing. The scene under an impressive cloud of smoke indicates industrial activity in the background, possibly a factory or forge.

  • Condition: Rather good condition. Foxing visible on the entire sheet. Slightly fingerstained lower right. The lower right corner of the sheet is bumped and slightly discoloured. Traces of an earlier binding along the left edge of the sheet.
