The bike runs but needs going through and finishing off - certainly cosmetically.
It was inspired by watching the hillclimb bikes at Hartland Quay - built up and refined with custom suspension/brakes/ignition/carbs in my spare time over several years. I got the bike handling and braking well, but then lost interest, and never got round to fine tuning the carbs/ignition, tidying up the bracketry, or painting the frame/bodywork.
The bike was used on and off in 2022, MoT'd in April 2023, then put back in the shed and not used since.
According to the speedo it has covered 402 miles with me, but i suspect it is off another project bike so possibly less.
The motor is still on it's original bore ( at least, i think they are - the pistons are not marked .25 , 0.5 etc.....), and has "MALLION II" inscribed on the cylinder head which means nothing to me - probably a stage 2 tune?
Martin (77) Johnson made the expansion chambers to suit this engine/rearset mounting points. I fitted an ignitech ignition, Powerdynamo (now Vape.eu) stator and reg/rec, and a pair of orange Banshee racing ignition coils with a simple wiring loom.

I kicked it over a few times and it started up pretty easily yesterday, but the carbs started overflowing. I took the bowls off the carb and blew through the passages but the carbs are still overflowing.
The Keihin 26mm carbs are from a Kawasaki KR1-S with custom made cables and a twin pull Domino throttle. There are several spare parts for the carbs, and a YPVS airbox that i was considering trying, with KR1-S inlet rubbers, to improve the midrange flatspot around 5k.

The forks are a mixture of FZR1000 exup lowers with FZR400 3TJ uppers and springs, with a TDR250 front wheel/lightweight Brembo 320mm disc and custom wheel spacers. I can't remember whether or not there are a set of YSS cartridges in there, but it is the sort of thing I normally fit to these period forks...
The front blue spot caliper works very well with a small bore Brembo master cylinder.
The rear brake system is a complete DTR125 set up
Rearsets are universal race 'pegs fitted to Suzuki GSXR hangers on custom Projection Components adjustable plates and levers, with an extension for the gear lever toe peg cobbled up by yours truly
The rear linkage and YSS shock are custom made for this frame/DTR125 swingarm (and DT125 supermoto wheel).
130/80 17 rear tyre 110/80 18 front tyre, Bridgestone AX41s
Extra thick radiator
Billet aluminium intake manifold

The fuel tank is a plastic Acerbis unit, from a TZR125rr Belgarda.
The seat is a TZ race unit modified to suit the alterations the previous owner made to the rear frame rails, fitted with an LED brake/tail light. The front headlight is twin LEDs that i have wired to be always on (i didn't really use the headlight/ front mudguard, and wanted to keep the switchgear minimal - the right switchgear has run/kill and horn buttons, that's it! )
Clocks consist of a handlebar mounted mini water temperature gauge, a tacho with gear change rpm light, a pushbike speedo, and a neutral light. Front and rear brakes both have working brake light switches. There is a working horn too.

I am looking to buy something more practical - a 955i Speed Triple, or a Royal Enfield Interceptor are top of my list....
