Art Deco Markel Slip Shade Chandelier for Restoration. This is an estate find barn rescue! It was not found with its glass shades and you will need additional hanging hardware. This is made of a cast white metal and the main parts of the fixture do not attract a magnet. This has its original paint although there is wear and chipping to paint in some areas.  The piece has age-related wear and needs rewiring and perhaps new sockets. I see no cracks in this fixture, but I note that one edge/tip has corrosion to the metal so perhaps a hardener or arrester could be added to this tip to strengthen this area (see last 2 photos).  As I was assessing how easily the center vertical piece could be removed to facilitate shipping, as I was turning it, the pipe/rod it was screwed onto dropped inside the fixture and I cannot pull the rod back up to screw the vertical piece back on.  But since you will have to take the fixture apart to rewire it you will be able to screw the vertical piece back on once the fixture is opened up (see third to last picture).   I do not want to attempt any further dismantling but at least the vertical piece is now unattached, and this light be shipped more easily and in a shorter box.   Approx size is 13 1/2" across and 18 1/2" tall including the vertical piece and measuring down to the finial. By adding chain to this light, you can adjust its length from the ceiling. Selling as-is.

This wonderful Art Deco light is a diamond-in-the-rough.
