This is a lovely, aqua blue Apothecary bottle most likely dating to the Victorian Era, mid to late 1800s.  The bottle is molded, side seam stops mid neck with tooled lip. The neck exhibits tool mark where it was separately applied and leans to one side. There are no markings on the bottle to indicate maker or function.  However, I believe its a medicine bottle (based on oval shape, size, general characteristics) with a best date being Victorian Era (color, bottle characteristics.. see the links below). My father, an avid bottle digger, discovered this beautiful bottle in the ruins of an old homestead in Virginia more than 40 years ago. Its in nice shape, free from breaks or cracks. (See photos) There are age related air bubbles and the glass in the bottom is unevenly poured. Clarity is very nice for a dug bottle. It measures about 5" x 2" x 1"
