• Beschreibung: Vermutlich von C. Haldenwang nach einer Vorlage des Landschaftszeichners Heinrich Theodor Wehle (1778 Förstgen - 1805 Bautzen). Idyllische Landschaftsdarstellung eines mit einzelnen Figuren und verstreut stehenden antikisierenden Bauwerken. In der Ferne öffnet sich eine Schlucht auf deren oberen Plateau eine große Tempelanlage zu sehen ist, die dem berühmten Vestatempel in Tivoli gleicht.

• Inscription: At the lower part inscribed in the printing plate: "im Verlag von I. Velten in Carlsruhe.".


• Date: c. 1800


• Description: Probably by C. Haldenwang after an original by the landscape artist Heinrich Theodor Wehle (1778 Förstgen - 1805 Bautzen). Idyllic landscape with single figures and scattered antique buildings. In the distance a ravine opens on whose upper plateau a large temple complex can be seen, which resembles the famous Vesta temple in Tivoli.

• Condition: Rather good condition. There is discolouration and pale foxing around the image. The edges of the sheet are untrimmed and in places slightly soiled and bumped.
