  • Beschreibung: Der hocherhobene abgewinkelte Arm des dargestellten jungen Mannes liegt auf einem kaum angedeuteten Kaminsims. Er scheint seine Bücher für einen Augenblick beiseitegelegt zu haben, um für den Künstler zu posieren. Dieser hat die Darstellungsform des Dreiviertelbildnisses gewählt, um den jungen Mann zu portraitieren. Die Beinstellung bleibt dem Betrachter verborgen.
