  • Beschreibung: Vorliegend eine Darstellung einer idyllischen Landschaft, harmonisch komponiert und von detailreich ausgearbeiteten natürlichen Elementen geprägt. Baumgruppen rahmen eine zentrale Lichtung, welche den Blick auf eine sanfte Hügellandschaft mit einer Gebirgssilhouette im Hintergrund freigibt. Die Szenerie wird durch Figuren und Tiere belebt, die friedvoll in ihre Tätigkeiten vertieft sind und die Stille der Natur suggerieren. Das Motiv illustriert das Ideal einer pastoralen Szene.

  • Description: This is a depiction of an idyllic landscape, harmoniously composed and characterised by detailed natural elements. Groups of trees frame a central clearing, which offers a view of a gentle hilly landscape with a mountain silhouette in the background. The scenery is enlivened by figures and animals peacefully absorbed in their activities, suggesting the tranquillity of nature. The motif illustrates the ideal of a pastoral scene.

  • Condition: Rather good condition. Foxing is visible on the entire sheet. In addition, small dark brown stains on all sides. The corners of the sheet are minimally bumped. Lower left somewhat fingerstained. Traces of an earlier binding along the upper edge of the sheet on the verso.
