Another radio from my collection in great condition, looks fantastic, very retro, large impressive set. The cabinet is very nice condition, shiny, just has a few light scratches as would be expected. The dial glass is nice and clean and both the dial lights are working and the magic eye is nice and bright and working well. The knobs are the originals and have no cracks or damage. Picks up stations in the FM waveband, very clear, nice sound but cant pick anything up on the MW or LW. This is a very nice set, well made (German) and imposing. I have had the radio on for the last four hours, all is good and sounds nice a crisp. 

Because of the age of the set please be aware that it would have had a long life and would have picked up the occasional scratch and stain on the way but still looks great.

Stern Radio Weimar 4680A, AC mains, table model with push buttons, long wave medium wave short wave and VHF, light walnut wooden case.

Manufactured by Stern Radio of Sonneberg Germany in 1961 this seven-valve radio is finished in a light walnut coloured wooden case with a cream plastic front escutcheon. A 5-way piano key type switch is used to select between the Long, Medium, Short, VHF bands and also includes an on/off switch key. Internal aerials include a ferrite rod and a FM dipole wire for reception of local stations. A magic eye indicator on the front of the set assisted tuning.

On the cabinet back sockets are provided for the connection of external antennas, earth, gram pick-up and an extension loudspeaker.
