This is what is called a partcaster. Not strictly fair as these guitars were always meant to be adapted to the players needs, change neck, body etc. This is a 1979/80 body probably originally natural, nice grain, although could have been white. The neck is 1975, difficult to age correctly as the numbers are very faint on the heel, but I’m pretty sure. Original string trees. The neck plate is original although from another guitar. The electric’s including the scratch plate are from an early 2000s USA highway one. I collected these for a while and loved the extra growl from the pick ups, this will do heavy very nicely but also wound back the nice clean strat sounds. Tuners are new original vintage style. This particular guitar has a really nice accentuated warm thicker mid sound, probably the density of the wood which I believe is ash, having said that it’s not heavy. The neck is somewhere between a ‘c’ and a ‘u’ but very comfortable. I originally tried to alter the truss rod but found it didn’t seem to have an effect. The guitar has been through Robbie Gladwell’s capable hands, set up for me. Very close action. He said that on a neck of this age it would be better not to mess with it, it’s perfect as it is. It certainly plays like it. The case is new but a proper one. Any questions please feel free to ask and come try if you are considering buying. I would prefer the guitar was collected, would consider delivering myself within 40 miles for the petrol money, cod. I will obviously offer a courier cost.
