I've owned this van since new and it was converted to a camper from new by New Wave Custom Conversions in South Wales.
Note - the V5 states that I am the second keeper - the van was first registered on 14th January 2015 by Sinclair Vans Swansea/Cardiff as it was a cancelled order.
It's now 10 years old and has covered only 44,000 miles
These BiTdi engines are known for high oil consumption. This one is using one litre of oil every 300 miles on average - I have been tracking it for the past year and it is pretty consistent.
The MOT has just expired (24th March 2024) and it will need the oil burning issue addressed before it'll pass an MOT. I've not submitted it for a test, I've been told they won't test while it smokes.....
Selling because we are are looking for a larger, 4x4 van to convert to a camper and I don't have the inclination or the time to fix the oil usage issue.
It's a bespoke conversion with a small 'wet garage' area at the back formed from fibreglass. I use it to house a road bike/mountain bike but you could use it for anything - its completely sealed from the inside of the van so any wet, dirty and smelly outdoor kit can go in there!
It is classed as a campervan/motorhome on the V5
