Quirky School desk for storage and tabletop whilst camping, 2 long Shelved by the bed and useful cubby holes at the sliding door opening. Almost full size double with trimmed mattresses, use proper bedding and it's incredibly comfortable for 2 people. Rear window curtains and curtains between Cabin and rear. Front twin seat is fitted with swivel base, either to sit facing the rear when camping or fold down as additional storage space. Good storage space under the bed for additional camping gear or luggage. This is a Long Wheel Base version so slightly more room than a standard van. (Apologies for poor quality photos of the rear, looks better in the flesh!)
Pull out Sink and Hob unit at the rear with Grille, Gas Bottle (quite full) and 20L Water container included in sale. 12V water pump for sink. Hob not the quickest but great if you're not in a rush, Tailgate provides nice shelter from the rain when using the pullout! Fire Extinguisher and Carbon Monoxide alarm fitted. 12v/230v Good size camping fridge.
Comes with Large Driveaway awning for the rear and fitted with recently bought ARB Roll out awning with inbuilt LED Lighting. Also small roof deck fitted to roof bars accessed by side ladder. Fitted with Lavaner Diesel heater underneath vehicle and plumbed into main fuel tank.
Other items included are full size spare wheel with new Toyo All Terrain Tyre to match the van, Insulated Windscreen and Side Window Themal Blinds, HiGear 2 Shelf Cupboard/Table, Levelling blocks, Carpet for driveaway awning, small windbreak, camping kettle.
Cabin is original and in generally good condition, some stains and holes on seats - many people upgrade seats or cover. Original VW Alpha head unit with aftermarket bluetooth connectivity. Speakers are original and pretty poor but a very easy swap
Mechanically sound and has only ever let me down once in 8000 miles! This resulted in a Gearbox swap just after purchasing in 2022 and has been great ever since, it's had new gearbox oil every 6 months! Has the 2.4D engine fitted so is very reliable but not the fastest! Plenty of torque to pull the van along and up hills, just don't expect to cruise above 65! Have most of the kit to fit a 2.5TDi turbo as was planning to tow with it (tow bar fitted) but never got round to it - planning to sell separately but could include for the right price. Timing and Fuel Pump Belts changed in 2018 along with the water pump (at approx 125,000 miles). Has a small hole in the exhaust centre section and a CV boot damaged - I have the replacement parts and will swap out prior to going to the new owner. Intermittent issue with the fuel/temp gauge not reading (comes in and out), will try to look into prior to sale - likely a loose connection. MoT expired in Feb 2024 but will put through a test prior to sale, no doubts it will pass just keeping it off the road whilst not needed.
Van was resprayed by previous owner, some marks and chips on paintwork and Raptor coat but cleans up well. Underneath is very solid (will get some photos on the ramp when I have a chance), LHS arches have a bit of rust coming through that would benefit from sorting in the coming years.
Selling due to upcoming wedding in October and having too many vehicles to insure and tax! Will be sad to see it go as it's been fun to own and definitely turns heads. Vehicle is kept on private land so can accommodate test drives there. Not in a big rush to sell so please serious buyers and offers only!
