A gorgeous deep emerald green handpainted teapot from Japan. Marked only 'Japan' shows made prior to WWII, so probably late 30s to early 40s. In good condition would make a lovely addition to your collection or a beautiful gift.
Found this piece in Winnemucca, a mining town in the high desert of Northern Neveda, so the pot could have travelled here from many places to then hit the shelves of a local thrift store.
There is a small chip on the spout but no cracks or crazing, please see photos.
