For sale is a lonely saucer made in France in the late 18th
century . The paste of this piece is really nice and white quite typical
of French maker of the Paris region during this period . Definitely one
of the better makers but without a mark I cannot attribute it to any one
specific maker! It is hand painted with a really nice version of the
blue corn flower decoration that so many makers used during this period.
A cornflower floral garland with their leaves along the edge with
colorful single corn flowers and gold leaves in the center. Gold trim
along the edge and along the inside rim. The saucer is in great
condition with just some wear to the gilding along the edge. Blue
cornflowers were a favorite of Marie Antoinette and thus became very
popular during this time period. The piece is not marked underneath but
is definitely French from this period! It is 1.125 inches tall and
just over 5 inches in diameter.Unterteller Untertasse Blaue Kornblumen Vieux de
