Used 1966 Fender Coronado 1 - Neck date (see pic) is 10 June 1966.

As you will see from the pics, the Coronado is in its original condition including pick-up, neck plate (with ‘66 reference date stamp), tuners, string tree, bridge, tailpiece, nut, pots, knobs, frets, pick guard as well as all of the screws etc.. All are in good to decent condition with just that right amount of vintage ageing (it is getting on for nearly 60 years !) There’s no discernible finishing crackle and the neck is smooth and glossy.

There are very few dings, which I’ve shown in the pics, the worst of which is the small chip on the fret board on the 5th fret by the Low E, which has no bearing on the sound and is not rough to the touch. There are a few small marks on the back, but no buckle rash.

I acquired this piece of history in the early 90s but I’ve never gigged it and so it has been tucked away since that time in its case apart from the occasional strum when I decided to reacquaint myself with my collection. Ah, the case… I’ve no idea of its provenance but suspect it is from the era. It is rudimentary at best, and seems to have seen a lot of life, but it has done its job well since I have had it at least.

There are some other vintage Coronados for sale on here, and so I’m pricing mine to sell at what I think is a sensible level for such a vintage piece. If Serge P is viewing, then here’s a back-up for you at a great price !

PS - Collection only please - the case is not a flight case !

PPS - the stand is not included in the sale.
