Bespoke handmade full size figure of Icarus. Made from welded steel chain with metal wings with stained glass panels inserts. Stands 2.3m from ground to top of wings. It was made it for my final project on a Fine Art BA course. Totally original piece of work. One of a kind and very impressive. It would ideally suit a courtyard or indoor space. The chains and steel construction will rust and weather over the years and give the piece a sense of age.
note: while the sculpture is stable without floor/ ground fixings, these would be advised especially for outdoor use as the wings have the potential to become sails in strong winds.
The main body weighs about 250KG and the wings 30KG or so apiece.
