Wolseley 1500,1964 so 60 years old this year,Been my everyday car for the past 4.5 years always garaged not a show car but non the less still in good condition,this is the 4th 1500 i have had over the past 40 years or so,they are a good everyday car,I have only driven Vintage Austin 10s and Classics for the past 50/55 years or so no modern ones until now,Age,80, and poor health so no choice as i cant work on them anymore as i have always done,my own work on them,
I fitted an electronic ignition when i bought it from (Bangers and Cash) which is near me,starts first time,
Quiet engine no nasty noises doesnt burn oil, i fitted a cheap radio but works and plays music.
I have a folder full of bills,receipts etc going back quite a few years,Oil pressure spot on.
It has the original jack which doubles up as a wheel brace and starting handle,inside the pouch there is a narrow pouch which holds a flat bar for taking off wheel trims,
There are many decent used spares i collected over the years,see photos,there is also new unused spares front wheel bearings boxed,windscreen washer bottle,brake and clutch master seal rubbers,gearbox mountings&steady bar bushes,2 rubber brake pipes,1 track rod end,radiator bottom hose,rear axle oil seals,pair chrome windscreen wipers.accelerator cable,
Recent new parts recently fitted (May 23) Halfords battery 3 year guarantee clutch Oct,21 not many miles done, water pump,Oct,23, starter motor motor,June,22,starter solenoid,June 22,headlight dip switch Sept 22,fan belt,Nov,23.
Brakes front and rear,new shoes,new brake cylinders (6) 4 front 2 back, 2 new copper brake pipes,new brake master cylinder, new rubber seals in clutch master cylinder all these have just been done in the past 2 weeks or so done by a local mechanic brakes will need bleeding as they have only done just a few miles since being fitted, receipts for the above are all in the folder,
As you can see the inside is in very good condition no rips or tears,
I just found recently that the courtesy light stopped working,when i checked i found its on the same circuit as the horn and that doesnt work,i put a live feed to the horns and they work ok so maybe someone cleverer than me can sort it,also the passenger side window winder is stuck in the closed position so needs looking at,if you look at the photos you will see window winders also door lock mechs.
I know there is a lot of money in both new and used spares with the car,
