Mandate outbound airmail: 3 DEC 1935 postmarked air mail cover sent from HAIFA to DECIN-TETSCHEN Czechoslovakia, franked 15m per Imperial Airways postage rate & tied by 3x strikes of the head post office postmark; backstamped 7 DEC arrival; slit open at top. The quick transit time without the 'cross' Jusqu'a marking normally applied at Brindisi (to indicate termination of air service) suggests that the cover was transported by air throughout: period air mail to Germany stopped at Imperial Airway's transit at Brinidisi and was carried by surface mail for the rest of the journey; mail to Czechoslovakia in this period (to 1939) is not seen with the jusqu'a marking, suggesting air service throughout.
