1961 incoming Belgian taxed mail: 1 July 1961 postmarked airmail cover sent from BRUSSELS to TEL AVIV, franked 10 Bf & entered uncancelled into a letter box; subsequently tied by bilingual "found in box" instructional handstamp & postmarked - but found to be short paid & marked for tax by the Belgian post office, charging the cover 7 gold centimes for twice the deficient postage.

In Israel the post office converted the gold centimes fee per the period exchange rate of 0.6 agora : 1g ctm, reflecting the 1960 Israeli currency reform from 1/1000 Prutot to 1/100 Agorot, and charged the cover 4 agorot, levied on 3 July at TEL AVIV-17 post office using a pair of 0.02L 1961 Zodiac stamps (Ba #205); opened gently at back.
