This is a Hanimex f4.5 90-230mm Tele-Zoom with M42 threaded lens mount. This is a manual lens with no electronics. It has a metal body and glass lenses, so it's fairly heavy, about 2lbs.

The lens is used in good working condition. The focus ring is nice and smooth. The zoom dial needs about a 1/3 rotation to move the whole zoom distance, and the lens doesn't change length when you zoom. The aperture ring clicks nicely. There is also a M --> A ring, and you'll want to have this left on the M for Manual unless you have a camera that can control the lens in the Automatic mode.

I do not have either lens cap, but both the front and rear are in good shape.

You can get adapters from M42 to Leica L Mount, Canon, and most mirrorless camera mounts.

This Hanimex lens looks very similar to lenses from a few different camera companies. Most likely they were built by the same company. You'll see very similar lenses from Vivitar, Soligor, Lentar, Mamiya, Tokina, and Asanuma.
