Aster 'Anton Kippenberg' is a delightful perennial plant known for its vibrant and captivating display of flowers. Its daisy-like blossoms feature light purple petals with golden-yellow centres, creating a striking contrast that draws the eye. This variety of Aster blooms in late summer to early autumn, adding a burst of colour to gardens just when many other plants are beginning to fade.

In terms of size, Aster 'Anton Kippenberg' typically reaches a height of approximately 60 to 90 centimetres (24 to 35 inches) and forms a compact clump that spreads to about 45 to 60 centimetres (18 to 24 inches) in width when in full leaf. During the colder months, Aster lose their foliage and return to a bulb-like state under the surface of the ground.

The modest stature makes it an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, or mixed perennial beds. Its manageable size and charming flowers also make it a favourite among pollinators like bees and butterflies, contributing to the overall health and vitality of the garden ecosystem. With its late-season blooms and compact growth habit, Aster 'Anton Kippenberg' is a splendid addition to any garden seeking a touch of autumnal beauty.

We don't provide the current size of our plants in the product description because they are constantly growing and changing with the seasons. In addition, we may trim our plants to encourage new growth, so their size can vary from day to day. We believe this is an essential part of caring for our plants and keeping them healthy. *This also means the flower/fruit months shown are for reference only and we cannot guarantee plants are sent with flowers.

We recommend selecting a pot size that fits your needs and the planting location; a larger pot will usually contain a larger plant. We are happy to provide up to date sizing on request.

Please note that the photos we provide are mostly of the plant's final dimensions or of their unique points of interest, such as flowers, which may only appear at certain times of the growing season. Therefore, they are often not representative of the size or exact plant you will receive.

Here are our most common pot dimensions for your convenience. Availability according to listed quantity.

We send all of our plants using the Royal Mail 48 service for delivery. It's important to note that this service does not guarantee delivery within 48 hours of dispatch. Please be aware that this is not a tracked service, although we will provide you with a tracking number. The tracking number will only update with information once a delivery attempt has been made.

We understand that receiving your plants in a timely and healthy manner is important to you, and it's important to us too. We aim to dispatch every order within three working days and usually package plants every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, ready for dispatch the next day.

Each of our plants is packaged in a cardboard box and secured at one end to limit movement and try to ensure safe travel; however, it is still possible for some planting material to become loose in transit.
