Up for sale is a carbon fiber rib vest specifically made for protecting the kart racer from the mechanical stresses imposed on the rib cage. This is made by K1 Racing Gear and is a Size M (medium).

According to the website's sizing chart, size M (medium) is designed for a person with a chest measurement of 38 to 40 inches. There is some degree of adjustability in this vest, in the form of four buckles, two that join the two carbon fiber plates across the front of the chest and two that join the shoulder straps to the top margin of the vest.
The tag on the inside back top of the vest reads:
