Magic Lantern Slide BABY IN A GIANT BOOT WITH UMBRELLA C1890 VICTORIAN PHOTO

An unusual, rare well coloured photo of a baby in a giant boot. Titled " Child studies " " Any port in a storm ".

Occasionally these giant boots come up for sale, a while ago two turned up on the Antiques Roadshow. They are always thought to be shoe makers advertising props but to my knowledge this is the only photo of one from the period and it appears they were more likely a photographers prop for baby photos. 

Professional baby photo shoots have become really popular now, its interesting how things go around. 

The slide is approximately 8.2cm X 8.2cm or in inches 3.23" X 3.23"
