Presented is a fabulous sterling silver ice cream slice by Gorham. This piece is in the Old Medici pattern, which was patented in 1880. This pattern displays gorgeous scrolls and bead details surrounding a cartouche displaying a woman in fancy dress. The other side of the handle is partially patterned with the rest open to displays a monogram, WB, in a fancy script. The blade has beautiful hand engraved scrolls.

The entirety of the piece, blade and handle, is sterling silver.

The back of the blade is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Gorham and the patent.

This piece is in excellent overall condition. There are a few nicks on the blade's edge that could easily be taken out. The pattern details are crisp and well-defined. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no repairs, and no problems of any kind.
