For sale is a figurine of a shepherdess made by Bow around
1760. She is nicely modeled and quite beautifully painted. She is holding some flowers in her apron, a flower in her hand
and her sheep is by her side. Nice base with a flower by her feet. The
figurine displays nicely but has sadly been damaged and the restorer
went a little crazy with the over paint. The hat has been worked on, the
apron with the flowers has been worked on, I suspect she broke in half
around the waist, both arms/hands were worked on and the sheep's ear and
leg as well. A lot of damage but I am unsure how bad it really is with
the over paint it is hard to tell. Still a beautiful and rare piece that
displays very nicely! Typical hole in the back which would have
received a bronze candle holder. She is unmarked underneath but that's
the norm. The figurine is 5.75 inches tall, 3.25 inches wide and 2.75
inches deep. England 18th century
