For sale is a figurine likely made in France around the mid 19th century .
No idea as to an exact maker sadly and no idea what exactly these
signify. I have three different ones that belong together. This one is
of a male putto that is holding a dove or some kind of bird by a floral
string in his right hand. Simple base is also decorated with a flower.
The piece is unmarked which is not uncommon on items from this period.
He is in good display condition with a restoration. It looks to be just
the right arm and maybe the doves tail but the over spray covers the arm
and parts of the front and head. Whoever did this had bad aim or tried
to hide the restoration a bit much :) Also his left foot was
restored. The figurine is 5.25 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 2.75
inches deep. 19thC 19th century blanc de chine
