My Book House 12-volume series.  This is the hardcover Rainbow Edition from 1965.  The covers range in color from light green to deep navy.

Complete 12-volume set of My Book House — a compendium of stories, poems, folk tales, fair tales, historical and biographical essays, and illustrations designed for young readers.  Each volume contains numerous stories edited by Olive Beaupre Miller.  The contents of this set was gathered from many sources and compiled into volumes so that as a child grew, the interest and complexity of what was offered to read, grew with them.  The first volume contains nursery rhymes, and other volumes contain fairy tails and fables, all the way to the twelfth volume which covers Shakespeare, Albert Einstein, and Jesse Owens.  The magic of this set is that it is classic, well-written, and it urges the reader to explore the original works in more depth.  The volumes in this collection include:
1.  In the Nursery
2.  Story Time
3.  Up One Pair of Stairs
4.  Through the Gate
5.  Over the Hills
6.  Through Fairy Halls
7.  The Magic Garden
8.  Flying Sails
9.  The Treasure Chest
