For sale is a really nice ceramic figurine made by Guido Cacciapuoti in Italy during the earlier 20th century . Guido Cacciapuoti lived from 1892 until 1953 in Italy and is known for his figurines. The animal pieces he did are especially nice and seem to be unique pieces rather than mass produced. They are quite uncommon! The figure here is of a male and female turkey ( Hen & Tom) strutting around a corn field. Both are looking around rather than pecking at the ground. The piece is extremely well modeled and hand painted with lots of detail. In fact I think this is the nicest turkey figurine I have ever come across! The piece is in perfect condition and is marked underneath with his incised signature (Guido Cacciapuoti) in the back base as shown. I think this is an early piece as it has his full name instead of first initial plus not Made in Italy yet. The figurine is 6.75 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 6 inches deep. 20thC
