WW2 British RAF Officers shirt

Excellent example of the issue RAF officers full button shirt. This example is of the full button front placket design instead of the 1/2 button variety. It is in the earlier fabric, a cotton poplin end on end weave with yellow and white thread which produces a small fleck pattern within the overall blue thread. I've tried to get this to show in the pictures. It has the correct white stitching overall and the small white buttons. It is designed for a detachable collar (not included) held in place with metal collar studs. The cuffs have button holes to allow for cuff links as well as the attached buttons. It has a small gusset at the junction where the tails meet on each side and a small box pleat at the rear of the collar. Nicely marked with Air Ministry crown and RAF Stores number code 22B/135, code 22 being for "Clothing and Accoutrements" with 22B specifically for "Necessaries, including underwear."

The fabric is solid and crisp with no rips, or tears. It has some wrinkles from storage and a few very light storage marks, but appears unissued. It appears to be a size 15 collar. This would make a nice addition to a WW2 RAF collection.
