Vintage 80s 1980s Vakko Blue Leather Dress 

Vakko leather was SO fashionable in the 1980s -- their pieces are great examples of the decade's iconic style. Headquartered in Turkey, Vakko continues as a luxury label, specializing in leather goods and accessories. This particular dress is made from soft, blue leather that is lined everywhere but the sleeves. It has that awesome '80s cut with broad shoulders enhanced by shoulder pads, domain (batwing) sleeves, and a more fitted hip. The back is designed with a large, triangular cutout, giving it a dramatic look. Note the pockets that have been incorporated into the top seam of the skirt in front. There's a single snap at the top of the back to fasten the dress. This beauty was made in the USA. 

Condition is quite good. There are just a couple of small flaws that we could find. There is a small area on the tip of one of the sleeves where the blue has rubbed off. With some blue leather polish, you should be able to remedy it, though it's so minor that it genuinely doesn't stand out. The second is a very small tear in the leather at the base of the "V" in back. It also does not stand out and could be repaired with a dab of leather adhesive. See photos for a visual description.

Original size was 10, which should mean it fits more like a contemporary size 6/8, but a 10 may still comfortably wear it, depending on how fitted you want the skirt to be. It runs large on our size 2/4 mannequin, so we wouldn't advise it on anyone smaller than a 6 (and realistically, probably an 8 would be best). Because every figure is different, please...
