Offered for sale is an absolutely superb 1970s Holdsworth Professional Bike, with complete period correct Campagnolo components.

This is a genuine Holdsworth Professional built when the Holdsworth Campagnolo professional cycling team was the best in the business. It is not a more recent, inferior recreation.

The frame and forks were in excellent condition when I bought them, with no dents or dings, but I have had the frame and forks renovated by one of the UK’s best artisan bike restorers in the iconic Holdsworth orange and Kingfisher blue colours.

The chrome on the forks and rear triangle is brand new and looks fantastic.

The decals and lug lining are of excellent quality.

The frame number is 35524, which the Norman Kilgariff website indicates is a 1971 factory build, but I have built the frame up with matching 1973 Campagnolo cranks and rear derailleur.

The 1973 Campagnolo Record crankset is in mint condition, as is the matching 1973 Campagnolo Nuovo Record rear derailleur and Campagnolo Record front derailleur.

The period correct Campagnolo Nuovo Record seatpost is also in superb, mint condition, as are the Campagnolo down tube gear levers.

The period correct, flat cam Campagnolo Record brake calipers and brake levers are in mint condition.

Also included is a mint, unused Cinelli Unicanitor leather saddle.

The wheels are excellent Campagnolo Record high/large flange hubs on Light Mavic Reflex clincher rims. The wheels are supplied with unused Veloflex Master 23 tyres and a lightweight Maillard 14-24 freewheel for reliable and friendly service.

Cinelli bars and stem.

The approximate dimensions are as follows:

Seat Tube 53 cm centre to centre

Top Tube 55 cm centre to centre

Head tube 12 cm

The bike is immaculate and ready for L’Eroica and vintage bike rides.

Please note: the pedals are not included in the sale.

I will deliver the bike free of charge to any U.K. address.
