A Shelley Art Deco "Poppies" 12329 Oxford shape demitasse cup & saucer. C.1934. 

Pattern No 12329 Poppies - Yellow and orange poppies with green leaves. Grey shades behind the poppies. White ground. Fawn bands and ring handle. Entered into pattern book during or after 1934.

The shape of this cup and saucer is the Oxford shape which was produced between 1934 and 1940. 

The back stamp is the 1925-1940 green cartouche mark. 

Dimensions: demitasse cup base 39mm (1.5 inches) / diameter across top of cup 70mm (2.75 inches) / height of cup 61mm (2.3 inches) / diameter of saucer 120mm (4.75 inches).

Condition: Both pieces are in excellent clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratching or signs of wear. Paintwork / enamelling is all in good order with no fading to the pattern. Both pieces have an excellent "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
