Goodwin weavers leaves a lasting impression of Their wares. This one is very heavy and is wonderful to sit under on cold snowy or rainy nights. Snuggle up with someone or wrap yourself up and enjoy it's warmth. It is smoothing colors that won't keep you awake at night. It has no holes or stains and the fringe is very good condition. This has just been machine washed and dried. After letting it air out a day I will package and put away until someone wants it. So no cleaning needed, just unpackage and wait until time to use it. I use All Clear detergent with no fragrance.  I hope you get many nice memories with this throw. Enjoy!
