About the Internet
With an iBook G3 Clamshell (Revised today 2023) The fact of the matter after all these years ( 24 years More ) is that
the use of the Internet on this machine whether WIRED or WIRELESS is quite limited, slow, subject to crashing,
and NO Facebook or YouTube, etc. Using other browsers as Camino (although little better), Tenfourfox, or Opera
to replace Safari will almost have the same result. Today's technology does not work well anymore with the old WiFi
airport card, slow processor 300 MHz "little bit better on the 366 & 466 models" not to mention again the WEP
and WAP Set-up. However Still Great for many tasks as: Music, Word Processing (MS Office), Photos, Writing,
Inventory, Projects, & much more.
VERDICT: Please, DO NOT HAVE BIG EXPECTATIONS for the use of Internet.

These laptops ARE NOT INTENDED to replace an iPad or a MacBook Pro, they are 24 + year old computers running
older software. YES they can connect to the internet with cable (Better), but they are SLOW most of the times.
Wireless will require you to set up your network based on their specifications, because the Apple Wireless Card inside
these laptops is "B" so your Router / Access Point needs to be set up on WEP Security Not WAP. Most networks today
are "N", with WAP security. You will need to verify the set-up with Security, because WAP set-up will NOT WORK.
PLEASE do not buy one of these computers as a substitute of today's laptops or for your kids to play games. They work
great with photos, music, word processing, do not expect them to function as latest technology Apple laptops. AGAIN
remember they are Old / VINTAGE. These computers are VERY UNIQUE and BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED, a true
COLLECTIBLE piece of technology, which have gained and will continue gaining VALUE, if of course well maintained.
