Ireland 1971-4 gerl coil strips, Scott 294c, 297b, 298e, Hib CS1-CS3 MNH

In 1971 Ireland issued the second Gerl definitives in decimal currency on watermarked paper. With this series they issued specially printed stamps to be used as coil stamps. They had perforations all around, but were printed in se-tenant formats that created series of different denomination stamps that repeated every 3 or 4 stamps. The first of these was Scott 294c (Hibernian CS1) that consisted of three stamps, a 1p, 1 1/2p, and 2 1/2p. Following that in 1972, they issued a set of four stamps (Scott 297b, Hib CS2), with 1 1/2p, 2p, 2 1/2p, and 4p. Finally, in 1974 they issued another set of  of coil stamps (Scott 298e, Hib CS3) that had two 1 1/2p stamps. a 2p stamp and a5p stamp. I am offering a set of all three of these strips in Mint Never Hinged condition. The 2024 Scott Catalog value for the three is $6.00, and the Hibernian Catalogue value is €6.00

In listings where I am selling multiple example of the same stamps then you may not get the exact stamps in the scan, but they will be the same catalog numbers in equivalent, or better, quality.

Stamps will be sent USPS first class mail with stiffeners to protect stamp.

My shipping charge is minimal and I will combine shipping. If you buy more than one lot, there is only a single shipping charge based on the weight of all of the lots. In order to get the combined shipping charge you need to put all the lots in the same shopping cart and then buy them, but don't pay for them until I send you an invoice, which will show the combined shipping cost. If you buy the items separately, you will be charged a shipping cost by eBay for each individual lot and I will be charged an additional charge for each transaction. There are some cases where eBay may indicate that I don't combine lots and won't allow you to request this. This is not true, but it seems to occur mostly in international transactions where two currencies are involved. If this occurs, just go ahead and pay and I will refund the excess shipping before I ship the lot. The most important thing is to use the shopping cart and pay for all the lots in one transaction.
