Presented is a great set of 10 antique American sterling silver teaspoons, dating to circa the 1880s. These spoons are made in a lovely Aesthetic Movement pattern, featuring very intricate decoration on the handles in the form of shells, floral and foliate scrollwork, and on the back a calla lily or similar type flower with arrow shaped leaves. Each spoon has a monogram of R in Gothic lettering on the front. These spoons were likely made by John Polhamus or John Wendt or another American silversmith of similar renown, but they are unfortunately unsigned.

These spoons are stamped sterling as well as a patent date of 1880 and a retail mark for A.S. Marshall.

This set of spoons is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

Each spoon measures about 6 inches long.

The total weight for the set is 204 grams or 7.2 regular ounces.
